Journal of Telecommunications and the Digital Economy
The latest issue of our journal, the Journal of Telecommunications and the Digital Economy, is now available on the TelSoc website at https://telsoc.org/journal/jtde-v12-n4. Please have a look at it. You can download the full issue (towards the bottom of the issue page) or select individual articles. All content is free to TelSoc financial members (when logged in).
The December issue includes the Charles Todd Oration, given by Will Irving in October 2024. You will find in it a fascinating account from a Telstra insider of the events leading up to the National Broadband Network. There is also much interesting discussion in the Q&A session following the Oration.
We have two reviews of recent books: Data Rules: Reinventing the Market Economy; and William Webb’s The End of Telecom History. Both contain interesting insights about the future of telecommunications and the digital economy.
Other papers related to Public Policy (one paper), the Digital Economy (three papers) and Telecommunications (two papers) cover the usual wide range of topics.
The reprint from the TJA is from 2000 about e-commerce security; and a follow-on contribution notes that problems with online security were only getting started back then.
As always, we welcome any comments or feedback that you may have.
