  • Three NBN policy papers, including a critique by Graham Shepherd of the new NBN Policy issued by Malcolm Turnbull on 11 December.
  • Six articles on the important theme of telecommunications and disaster management;
  • Two papers on the Internet of Things;
  • Part II of Andrew Kerans' tutorial paper on project-based spectrum planning and allocation;
  • As our regular historical feature, a vignette from our predecessor, the Telegraph Electrical Society of Victoria, on how the national time signal service used to be transmitted via the telephone network; and
  • a new feature, Back to the Future, in which our correspondent Edouard Estauni? reflects on the impact of the new anti-terror laws on the profitability of the telecommunications industry.

NB: at the end of the List of Contents, financial members of TelSoc are able to download a pdf of the whole issue for your personal use, if you prefer to read the Journal end-to-end on your tablet, smart phone or desktop computer.  Thus feature is available to TelSoc members for every issue of the Journal. Have you checked out the 14 articles in our October issue?

Happy reading!
