Jamil Y. Khan

Dr Jamil Y. Khan received his Ph.D in Electronic & Electrical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow in 1991. Since his Ph.D he has worked as an academic in UK, NZ and Australia. He is currently an Associate Professor and research leader of the Telecommunications Network group in the School of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at The University of Newcastle, Australia. His main research interests are in the areas of Wireless Networks, Sensor Networks, Smart Grid Communications, M2M Communications,  Internet of Things and Low Power Communication Networks. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE Communications Society and a member of the ACM.
