Ian Watson

Ian Watson is a journalist, communications professional and journalism teacher and tutor, and a member of the Griffith Centre for Cultural Research. Ian focuses strongly on communicating through Indigenous and community media networks and developing major communications projects focusing on issues such as telecommunications, sustainability, energy savings, health, mental health and legal issues. His work in this area has been recognised through winning a Queensland Media Award and TheMHS Mental Health Media Award, and being nominated as a finalist in the United Nations Media Peace Awards and Older People Speak Out Media Awards.
