The 2023 Henry Sutton Orator is David Tudehope.
David Tudehope is Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Macquarie Technology Group. He will be sharing his experience in the telecommunications industry since 1992, when Macquarie Technology Group was launched, and, in line with the Henry Sutton theme of innovation, sharing his insights on the industry today and into the future.
Today, Macquarie Technology Group provides cyber security, cloud and data centre services to Government, as well as data, voice, mobile and colocation services.

Join TelSoc and David Tudehope for a sit-down luncheon on Wednesday, 30 August 2023, 11.45 for a 12 noon start, finishing by 2 pm,
at the Angliss Restaurant, 550 Lt Lonsdale Street, Melbourne.

David Tudehope will be introduced by last year's Henry Sutton Orator, Gavin Williams from nbn.

David Tudehope

David Tudehope has been a director of Macquarie and its predecessor companies since 16 July 1992. He is responsible for overseeing the general management and strategic direction of the Group and is actively involved in the Group’s participation in regulatory issues.

He is a member of the Australian School of Business Advisory Council at the University of NSW and was a member of the Australian Government’s B20 Leadership Group. David holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of NSW.

In 2011, the Australian Telecommunication Users Group awarded David the Charles Todd Medal for leadership in the telecom industry. (This Medal is now a TelSoc award.) In 2018 at the 12th Annual ACOMM telecom industry awards, David received the highest award, Australian Communications Ambassador. In 2020, Macquarie Technology Group took double gold at the annual World Communications Awards 2020. The company received the award for the best Customer Experience and David won CEO of the Year.

David is also part of the Federal Government's Cyber Security Industry Advisory Committee to guide implementation of the 2020 Cyber Security Strategy.
